How it works

Four steps between today and forever.

You don’t need to gather photos first. You don’t need to feel ready. You begin with a name — and we walk the rest of it with you.

  1. Step 01 · Begin

Three minutes. That’s the whole ask.

Their name, a few details, the tier that fits. A warm welcome lands in your inbox right away, and the next morning brings a gentle checklist. No homework. No uploads tonight.

3-minute intake · immediate welcome email

  2. Step 02 · Remember together

An interview that feels like someone listening.

It opens gently — a few warm questions, no structure pressing on you. Go deep where you want to. Move on when you need to. It saves as you go and picks up exactly where you left off, even weeks later.

Then invite everyone. The children, the neighbors, the old friends — unlimited contributors at every tier, no account needed. Nothing anyone shares is ever discarded.

Someone who won’t type? Send a voice link — they just talk, and we keep both the recording and the words. And if you’d like, our team can quietly search public records for details that enrich the story — a line of military service, an old newspaper notice. Entirely optional, and you approve every word.

  3. Step 03 · We produce

    You approve everything. Twice.

Every memory that came in is laid out in front of you, and your family decides what belongs. We produce to your exact specification, a human reviews every detail, and then you see the finished piece before anyone else does. First you curate. Then you approve the final. Nothing ships until you have said yes twice.

    stage 1 — you curate · stage 2 — you approve

Step 04 · Forever

Live. Shipped. Vaulted.

The player page goes live at a permanent address that will never change. The keepsake box arrives — the book wrapped, the metal QR plaque folded in tissue. And then a quiet notification: their story is now kept in three places. The cloud, twice over. A vault carved into granite. The Internet Archive.

The guestbook stays open from that day on, gathering the memories of everyone who visits.
