Cemetery Discovery
Phase 2 · In developmentYour family is here.
Walk through the gates of any cemetery and your phone quietly recognizes where you’re standing. The map fills in — stories you can press play on at the graveside, and relatives you never knew were a short walk away.

How to read the map
Four kinds of markers.
Tribute
A story lives at this grave. Stand beside it, press play, and hear who they were.
Relative
The records say this person belongs to your tree — even if nobody ever told you.
Tribute + relative
The rarest find: your family, with their story already told and waiting for you.
Standard grave
Everyone else. A name, two dates — and a story that hasn’t been told yet.
How a visit works
From the gate to the graveside.
Step 01
Arrive
No searching, no typing. GPS recognizes the cemetery the moment you walk in, and the map simply appears.
Step 02
Follow
Choose a marker. A walking compass points the way while the distance counts down with every step.
Step 03
Stand
A gentle vibration tells you you’ve arrived. You’re standing in exactly the right place.
Step 04
Connect
Watch the tribute right there at the graveside. If it’s family, one tap — "This is my relative" — adds them to your tree.
When the grave is silent
Most graves hold a name, two dates, and nothing else.
Discovery doesn’t just find the stories that exist — it shows you the ones that don’t, yet. When you stand at a grave with no tribute, two paths open.
Available today

Be the one who makes sure their story gets told. Every tribute created now is already on the map the day Discovery opens.
Arrives with Discovery
Find their family
We’ll help you reach the relatives who may hold the missing pieces — the photographs, the letters, the stories behind the dates.

Why this matters
Your great-great grandchildren want to know. Someday one of them will stand where you’re standing, looking for you. Whether they find a name and two dates — or a voice, a laugh, a whole life — is decided now.
Built honestly
Coming in Phase 2. Shown when it’s real.
We could fill this page with polished fake screenshots. We’d rather not. The map above is an illustration and labeled as one — when we show you Discovery, it will be the real thing, working in a real cemetery.
What you create today is part of it. Every tribute made now appears on the map the day Discovery opens.
Planned groundwork
GPS geofencing
Recognizes the cemetery on arrival. Location is used in-session only, with your explicit permission — never stored.
Grave records
Planned data sources: Find A Grave and BillionGraves located-grave records.
Family matching
Planned integration: FamilySearch family-tree records, so the map knows who belongs to you.
The map itself
Walking directions, compass, and distance — built on a proper mapping engine, not a static image.
